Hitting the high spots as it's a grandchild's birthday next week and he's returning home today, so we asked him where he'd like to go for his pre-birthday lunch suggesting some favourite places like a Harvester or TGI Fridays. He chose MacDonalds!!!!! Good for the bank balance I suppose!
I made a birthday cake for him last night so that's coming up in a bit, although I had a brain malfunction and made a mistake in the recipe which I'm hoping won't be noticed - nothing too awful like using salt instead of sugar but let's just say it wouldn't get me far on Great British Bakeoff! It looks more like a pancake than a sponge, but a very chocolatey pancake :)

I'm trying to be positive this bank holiday/week trying to get myself back to a little bit more me so I took myself off for some Botox and starting my diet today.
Also with 1 week left till the kids go back to school gonna try plan a load of happy fun things to do with them.
