Part-time job-checks for a 16 year old?

If my stepson gets a part-time job & a crb/dbs is done will the police arrest(April)& ongoing investigation be there? Maybe once he's charged the offence can be seen?
Until he is charged nothing will show up on the DBS and if he is under investigation then he doesn't have to disclose anything because you don't at this stage know what the evidence is and there's always the possibility that the case could be dropped.
Thank you I will reassure his Dad then he can encourage his son to get a job aswell as 6th form.To me I feel the more he's involved in which isn't online the better.
