Hi everyone

Has anyone used cottages.com we normally use Airbnb but have struggled to book for next year for a suitable place. It is individual cottage no shared access or on a holiday park so pretty much the same as Airbnb but a different site.

I'm worried about booking I've looked through t&cs but can't see anything

I think we booked through them, or at least similar. Had no issue. If it is more than 7 nights then police need to be notified. If so I would recommend checking if schools and play areas are nearby. We got stung because we booked a place across from a school....didn't know this until the Scottish police threatened to do a spot check on my partner....

Thankyou it's in the middle of fields joined onto the owners house and looks like their farm so should be ok. We booked a Airbnb just round the corner from a park and nothing was said although the oh doesn't have any conditions apart from internet based and notifying of 7 nights or more so not sure if it's that

My partner has the same conditions. Has nothing to say he can't be near schools etc. I think it was because we stayed in Scotland and therefore 'different country '... I think our situation is very rare tho.

Sounds like it should be fine for you tho

Been to a few air b&b so far , all approved by po , most I'm seaside towns with schools ect in it . Never a problem. He's low risk and had his po meetings down to monthly now ,9 months post sentencing, don't know if this makes a difference, suppose it depends on po , or visor .x
