Very good to see coverage in The Guardian, including info on targetted support ('Shore') from LFF. Would be interested to see how awareness of this resource is raised publicly and in schools etc...

Glad this is being written but a LOT LOT is needed.

Porn, technology, smart phones is just becoming a Lethal combination for these kids.

there is this recent issue in Spain

LFF, if anyone is reading this post please work on a campaign, the Sex Education curriculum in school needs to be much much deeper along with threats of technology, rights and wrongs not just in real but Digital world, the MORAL compass of what it means.

Full fledged Digital curriculum should be mandatory not a fleeting reference in a class. History lessons can wait, kids need to learn right wrongs of technology, Privacy and how to navigate this new world.

Schools should not allow kids to have smart phones without proper education.
Do I want to give my child smart phone NO but every cool kid has.

Technology needs to be introduced slowly and with proper education much like Driving.

I can shut down door of my house and keep intruders away but there are hidden intruders creeping in life lurking everywhere...

Sorry for rant, a deeply worried mother :(

Yes distraught agree totally. It needs to be taught . Id love to see a film shown in school show it all the knock, the legal process the social workers involvement, the friends and family you lose , the job and education opportunities taken away. The travel and sicial life you lose . Most importantly Show them the lifelong effect on victims .

Very true Worried. Real education is needed on Effects on the Victims - those are unfortunate real children behind the images whose lives are getting ruined.

The full article is in fact behind a pay wall - the Guardian requires a small subscription fee usually.

I found the article very interesting and 'Shore' seems like a good starting point resource for some young people.

Thanks for sharing.x
