I can recognise how you're feeling. The weeks leading up to court are terrifying. In my persons case the judge did say he'd noted the mental health issues.
My persons case was in the media twice, once after magistrates court and again after crown court. This was one of his biggest fears but it is now old news. It means that people that continue to speak to him are doing so knowing he did wrong and he now has nothing left to hide. Yes he's got to build up the confidence to leave the house, but he is working on that with his therapist and he does believe that one day he will be able to do this without fear.
We have no plans to move or cut ties with people. We're going to ride it out in the knowledge that life will get better. We're learning to focus on those people that are there for us and not on those who aren't. You have already come such through a lot together and will find the strength from somewhere to get through this next stage. We're all here to support you through this next stage.

No matter how difficult this is you will both get through it

The strength inside you will keep you going even though at times it dosent feel like it bit you will

The media was one of my biggest fears but it soon becomes old news yes it's out there for all to see and the truth is twisted beyond belief but it dosent warrent your time to even consider the what ifs, we cannot control what the media do or say and that is the same for friends etc

As for moving that is your choice and only do what is right for you both and no one else

Sending hugs xx

Thanks for your responses ladies xx

I'm just feeling like nothing is worth doing, even eating, why should we be enjoying anything right now when we know what's coming xxx

I am at the same stage as you so totally get how you feel. We had the plea hearing on Wed and I was so worried it would come out. I have been a bag of nerves all week. No press but I am expecting it when he is sentenced at the end of the month. I guess what I am starting to realise is that I just have no control. whatever happens I will just have to ride it out. We are all amazing for getting through this nightmare. Sending love x

Bless you Bettyboo, yep - you wake up in the morning (that's if you were lucky enough to grab sleep) and wonder if it is all a nightmare. Then reality hits.

I can understand how you feel - it's bloody horrible. Keep strong my lovely and just ride the storm...... Sending hugs x

@betty we can all empathise with your feelings and all are valid, it feels all consuming but you will travel through this time and the feelings and emerge at the other side, each day you throw back those covers and get up is a challenge overcome. It's so easy to neglect self care during this time but it holds such incredible value. You have no control over what is to come but you do over 'right now'. Try to find some moments of joy and normality in the 'now' alone and together. Sending you strength xx
