Hi

I just wanted to tell you how the Mumsnet has helped, it's led on to me and Lee 1969 connecting on the phone initially then with Paula, it was so emotional taking to people who got me and me them, it was kind of freeing.

We now have a WhatsApp group with some beautiful lovely ladies and also just through Mumsnet as it's not for everyone to give up what you have keep secret for so long.

Please ladies (and gents as I know there have been a couple on here) if you feel you want more go through Mumsnet. My user name is TB14 - it truly has been a life saver for us all xxx

Hi Paula here. I'd like to echo these comments. Being part of this strong supportive Whats App group means that I never feel alone. Whatever is going on during this long and painful journey, there is always someone there for me. Someone who knows exactly what I'm going through. And hopefully sometimes I can offer strength and support back. This connection has changed my day to day life. I am so grateful to them all, and for the incredible contributors on this forum. xx

Hi everyone,

yes me too I can only say what this group has done for me is so wonderful, I no longer feel alone which was so difficult for me feeling like that all the time.

If you reach out and connect with someone it really does help, I know it is taking a bit of a leap of faith into the unknown, but I can only say it has helped me so much.

I am Mabel111 on Mumsnet x

The thought of connecting with others and uncovering my “real” identity was daunting, to say the least, but it is the best thing I’ve done in the past four months.

I’ve connected with a group of strong, empowering women who have built me up and reminded me of who I am. I might be a victim of circumstance, but I’m also ME and I’ve felt able to be myself.

I can’t convey in words what the WhatsApp group has done for me. I really am so, so grateful.

If anyone feels they may benefit, I’m JayneG1989 on mumsnet and I set up a new, accompanying email address so that if I felt uncomfortable or exposed at any point, I wouldn’t feel my own identity had been risked. Just something to think about if you’re not ready to put yourself out there fully xx

Being actually connected to others in the same ship as me has been just fantastic I feel like I have people to talk to who really understand the awful feels I have feeling totally devastated and betrayed by the person who was supposed to protect us, but in the same breath like others I have connected with still care for our husbands / partners, to be honest being connected with these ladies make me feel Not alone or isolated anymore.

Hi guys

Just wanted to tell you that 4, yes that's right, 4 of us met up yesterday for tea and cake, we spent 4 hours chatting, laughing and understanding each other.

This has been an amazing experience although it does take a massive leap of faith to do it because of letting go of the secrecy but so so worth it now.

If anyone wants to go through Mumsnet to join us my user name is TB14

Obviously this isn't for everyone and I still come in the forum most days but for me and some lovely, special ladies is been the best thing I've done so far

Hi I would like to add, the group is amazing, always someone on hand to help out. Speaking openly with people who really understand has been do freeing. Everyone is lovely and today I met with one of the ladies who is not too far from me and to be able to sit face to face, have a high and share feelings, experiences and have true empathy was just something I couldn't imagine before I found this group I have only been a member for a couple of weeks but it has honestly been a life changer for me. You dont have to go through this alone - this is the one good thing to come out of this horrible situation. xx

I must say that this sounds amazing that some of you are able to connect in the real world, which feels quite a hostile place to be at times. Can anyone join mumsnet? I'm not a mum myself though my partner has kids. I'm not sure how easy I'd find it to meet up with anyone mind you... I live out in the sticks without easy access to public transport and don't drive so it's hard to go very far on my own x

Hi everyone, I know this is already at the top of the topics, but it deserves to be. This support network and the chance to message/call/meet real life women in similar situations to me has without a doubt saved my life.

I had the scariest moment of this whole situation this week, and these ladies rallied round me and got me through it. The support is unreal. Xx

Just wanted to say what a difference it has made now that I am in contact with a couple of you ladies on mumsnet. Simply knowing that I'm not the only one in this situation is helping lift the burden. Got to say that I find the mumsnet messaging system very cumbersome though, very irritating that you can't read messages as a 'thread' so you don't lose track of what's been said. Are some of you on WhatsApp? Do you find that better to chat, and can you still keep it fairly anonymous?

Hi Guys

It's so awful to see so many new people entering this scary world that brings us all to this forum.

I just wanted to reiterate the Mumsnet abs more if you want to get more support. Yes it takes a massive leap of faith but there is no one that I'm in touch with that regrets it.

I'm off to have lunch with another beautiful lady today and the support we both gain from that is amazing

My name on Mumsnet is TB14 - it would be lovely to hear from you xx

I've just rechecked - and found I'd put my password as my username instead of TM. Duh. Have changed it now - and I think I've succeeded in messaging YOU Tracey.
