I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I totally understand your fear. I was terrified in the beginning too, but despite literally everyone in our small town knowing, we're 6 months in and not a single person has said a single word to me about it. The worst that has happened is that one neighbour shouts at my OH when she sees him out on his own.
In the early days the police told me that attacks on people in our position are extremely rare, but I think I'd watched too many tv dramas and felt like there was a big sign hung around my neck when I was out.
Please don't be scared. You've been brave already just to post on here. I could not have done that so early on xx

Such good advice on here. My OH went to A&E to see the mental health professional there as he was feeling suicidal. She telephoned me the next day to see how I was too. I asked her if she could recommend anyone. About a week later she phoned me again with a therapists name and number. My OH had his first session a couple of days ago. He is also currently on the phone to stopitnow as when I spoke to them they said to encourage him to do so x
