So the officer investigating has now called my OH for a 2nd Interview next week from the findings of the forensics report.
what is everyone's experiences of this? He's taking his solicitor which costs money we don't have. But will that be the end of it? After the Interview I am assuming he will either be charged or released? Or can they ask for another bail extension and carry on investigating? I am just querying this as his current bail ends on 19/10.

Hi Wolf
He definitely needs his solicitor, second interview means they have found more on the device's, so want to ask more questions, he could have bail extended, it's a lot of worry but this unfortunately is part of this journey x

@upset Mum
does it definitely mean they have found more? The reason I ask is because they have reduced bail a lot, so my person has access to our children and social services closed our case months ago, and I would have thought (hoped!) that if there was more or worse after the device check that bail would have been increased/ I would have heard back from my social worker. But to be honest it's a very very random experience going through this and what you think/ hope they would do is not always the case.

Honestly I can only go on my experience, second interviews usually happen once they find more but want to question more which could relate to the first interview but they should always have a solicitor with them in any case, all you can do is wait like everything on this journey, try not to worry easier said than done but its just another part of this journey x

My person got his charges in second interview. It's important they have their solicitor, incase any of them charges are wrong or stupid . We got one dropped.
He's definitely taking his solicitor. I've borrowed the money to pay for it. We do what we have to.
No journeys are the same. I def think it will be going over the first interview as he didn't like the fact the duty solicitor advised him to say no comment. He said he felt uncomfortable saying no comment to some of the questions. So I'm hoping he will have the chance to answer properly this time.

What ever the outcome we are here for you x
My OH was told the same by duty solicitor when he was arrested. Say no comment and don't give them any passwords for devices. He's on pre-charge bail and has to go back in Dec. We're very new to all this x

Definitely stick to no comment. CPS trued to say in court he was trying to get away with it but his barrister argued it was his first time in trouble so he was going with what his legal team were advising .I read the interview it was brought up there too . Judge agreed with our barrister it was advice he was going off , not pretending he didn't do it because he pleaded guilty. Which was the exact truth X
A second interview usually means they've either found clear evidence of what the original arrest was for (this is what happened to us)
Or new evidence
Solicitor can advise what to say.
He could be charged then and there, or he could be offered a caution. More likely the evidence would be sent to the CPS for them to make the decision on whether he can be charged
The CPS decision can take several months and bail conditions would normally be extended throughout this period
What were the original conditions and what were they reduced to?

The original Bail was:
can't be on our street at all
couldnt Be in our house
cant be unsupervised with anyone under 18 unless going about usual daily life
couldnt contact our children at all
After 48 hours they dropped the last one and allowed FaceTime but nothing else
i did the social services assessment and they signed off 2 supervisors so he could see the kids
then after the 2nd bail extension they dropped the couldn't be on on our street.
a few weeks later they dropped the could attend our property.
so all that is left is no unsupervised contact with an under 18 unless supervised by an approved person (approved by social care and police) which is me and my brother.
the original arrests were for:
1 x Cat B - which was added at the station (this is actually a picture of our child) but it's a baby picture in the bath and I took it!
Discussing an under 18 in an email conversation - don't know who with or who about.
police are not providing a disclosure to our solicitor at all. Which is also a bit unfair but apparently normal.

Wolf pack that sounds incredibly stressful. I am sure you will be able to fight to cat B. One of my worst nightmare scenarios was our baby pics being used, and I have yet to find out whether they are part of the evidence or not.
Hope you're doing as well as you can be

Wolf Pack, are you sure that the baby picture in the bath wasn't classed as Cat C?
It would surprise me if an innocent picture of a baby in the bath would be Cat B. I don't want to upset anyone by posting the definition of Cat B picture here, but I don't think it fits the category at all.
