Direct Messaging Survey Results

Dear Forum Users,
Thank you so much to those of you who completed the direct messaging survey
we posted in July. We had a fantastic response to our request, with 31 people
completing the online survey.
Your feedback about the direct messaging service has been incredibly positive,
about which we are very pleased. For example, 43% of you who completed the
survey reported feeling ‘very satisfied’ with the service, with 28% saying they
felt ‘satisfied’; 83% of you said you felt safe using the service, and 47% stated
that it is ‘very likely’ that you will continue to use the direct messaging service.
Furthermore, those of you who completed the survey reported enjoying the extra
level of privacy that direct messaging provides, as well as the ability to develop
closer relationships with other users, especially those that they feel they have
more in common with. You might also be interested to know that since the direct
messaging service was launched in April of this year, the number of users
accessing the service has continued to grow, with 64 active users at our last
count.
As we hoped, the survey also generated a number of suggestions about how we
might improve the direct messaging service, including:
The use of emoji’s
Receiving notifications when you receive a new message
Technical improvements – preventing you being ‘timed out’ when replying to a
message
Please rest assured that we are giving serious thought to all of these
recommendations, and we will keep you informed of any changes we are able to
make.
As always, thank you for posting on the forum and for providing one another with
such important support and advice.

I've got no issues with the DM service at all. Although LFF themselves said that the number of people posting on the forum has gone down, since it was introduced.
Also, 64 active users isn't very many considering that there are 40,000 people viewing the forum and 2,000 people posting.

I'm surprised there's only 60something people using it too.
That strangely makes me feel more isolated, a tiny community.
I'm glad the main forum is still here and being used
