First time posting so please accept my apology if this is in the wrong place.

My OH got caught in a sting online talking with a women about her supposed relationship with her daughter. Turns out there is no child and he is being sentenced tomorrow . We spoke with his barrister today and they said expect a custodial sentence as the charges are very serious, This is the first time he's ever been in trouble with the police, since he got "the knock" he's been going to SAA meetings weekly as he admits he has an addiction, he's also been attending therapy weekly and even the PSR apparently said they don't believe he is a threat, He had been dealing with this for 22 months now and I've only been in the relationship for 6 months. I'm praying he doesn't get a custodial sentence as he's doing so much to show how sorry he is. He made a really stupid mistake. He says he never thought the situation was real as it was a fantasy. I'm absolutely terrified. I don't have anyone I can talk to so I'm just really posting here to try and get this out of my head.

Yes I'm currently sat in the courtroom reception waiting to see what time we are due in court, it all seems to be very messed up as the judge is elsewhere on another case.

we both just want to know what is happening so we can start to rebuild our lives and try and move on.
I just feel sick.

So due to a clerical error the case has to go back to the magistrate court as he had actually pleaded guilty to something he hadn't done. Feels like we are back to the starting point but with the correct charges we are hopeful the outcome will be less severe.

I am very grateful that I found this forum and know that I have some support out there. X

Just wanted to post a little update, We now have a new court date on the 15th Nov for my OH to give his plee to the correct charge,

We are just trying to keep posotive and enjoy our time between now and then.

Well we are back in a hotel for the night as tomorrow is the day. We've been told that he could get a suspended sentence but I'm so scared that I'll be walking out of court tomorrow alone. Please keep us in your thoughts tomorrow.
