Having read your post I felt I really needed to respond to you. When my person attended his plea hearing he initially went off into a separate room with his solicitor. The court hearing only started when the solicitor informed them he was ready. The plea hearing is very quick. I'm not sure how your court will be laid out but in the one my person was in, he was sat up in a separate area at the back behind glass. He was unable to see the back row of seats in the public area and the people sitting there were unable to see him. The waiting room was used by all so if your courts are the same then you would be in the same waiting room as your person.
