I watched the programme on Jimmy Savile last night.

just made me feel sad and yes angry how offenders are all lumped under the P 'umbrella' for whatever crime they've commited in this area.

just struck me, my son now carries this same label and it's just so unfair isn't it?

It is wretchedly unfair.

I've just seen The Long Shadow, which is about the hunt for the "Yorkshire Ripper" Peter Sutcliffe. A hard watch but a refreshing take, because it was much more about the women he murdered, and those who loved them, than about him.

When I was 17, I crashed my car at speed due to bad driving. If a pedestrian had been in the way, they'd have died. So I would have been a killer. Whatever else I did in my life I would always be a killer. Peter Sutcliffe was a killer. But no one would have said I am like him.

And no way is your son like Savile.

I wouldn't watch or listen to anything in that area at one time. But in a way - it makes me stronger and more resilient to fight the injustice.

My goodness Daffodil, I'm pretty terrified of my grandchildren getting a mobile to be honest, nightmare.

I didn't know about that aspect of JS's crimes,
