Family member being funny
Notifications OFF
We (my OH and I) bumped into my cousin at the weekend and he was really off with us. We hadn't seen him since before lockdown when my daughter went to the explorers group he ran. We have no idea why there is a reason for him to be funny with us. There is no way that he will know what has happened with my OH, as I haven't even told my parents and sister. My parents are elderly and my mum has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's so I don't want to worry them, and my sister isn't the most supportive person. The friends we have told have been very supportive but I don't think they know my cousin, so can't understand why he would be off with us. It's very upsetting.
This journey can make us feel like we're wearing a sign on our heads because we're being judged by different agencies. It may be something completely unrelated, an off day for him, something that has happened in his life since you last spoke that he isn't ready to share or maybe the amount of time that's passed since the last time you saw him and he felt awkward.
If it's still bothering you by the weekend maybe reach out to him and ask if he's ok as he seemed distant when you saw him xxx
