Hello everyone,

I am wanting to request a new social worker, as we do not have a supportive working relationship. She uses the checklist wording of 'minimising' and 'that concerns us'. She also cannot underestand how a reasonable parent can be in a relationship with a sex offender. Essentially they keep saying that I am not a protective parent. My children are affected by her visiting their school for cp checks and request to come home afterwards because it is so overwhelming. The questions that she asks my children are inappropriate and suggests to them that I knew what my partner did all along. She twists my words and denies saying hurtful things. I cant really go into too much detail as she checks Stop It Now and told me she does this.

Does anyone have any advice on how to word the email to request a new social worker please?

My partner and I do not live together and I have made it very clear to both SS and my partner that he will not be coming back to the house even if bail conditions are dropped in order to protect the children. I have requested a safety plan but she never has time to sit down with me to disuss one.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you for reading xx

Please don't be disheartened by social services, trust me I know just how difficult they can be. Currently going through the same sort of issues.

therefore, I offer (feel free not to) to help you write to social services and make sure that you get all of your points across, whether that be how you are treated, lack of work or even praise. Totally up to you.
