My OH had his plea hearing yesterday, he pled guilty, to which they only read out that he was charged with misuse of telecommunications and a third charge of gross indecency

however, the media have put out a report today that said he tried to have sex with a child

which never happened, there's one conversation with a decoy minor, which he sent photos to, but never tried to ask to meet up or anything, unfortunately I've part read the conversation so I know this part is true

im so sick and tired of this

I feel like I'm going to throw up the whole time, I feel like everyone is staring at me

I hate this so much, why does the media false report I don't understand
he has spoken to his solicitor and he is going to try talk to the reporter to get it corrected or removed

but I just wish people would stop reporting on this, what good does it do, especially to state the full name and address of the person

It's just so hurtful

his work has now said they may need to suspend him until sentencing which is even worse

I just want to cry

Thank you K4, I appreciate your kindness.
This world is so cruel with this, I hate this so much.. why can't they just keep this stuff private, we as the partners go through enough on our own, without the whole world knowing..

Aw Flo I'm so sorry to read this. The media is just so awful. Of course we are well aware our people have done wrong, but WE haven't, yet we suffer so much from the media spreading it around. Sending you lots of strength to get thorugh this xx

Oh Flo,

I'm so sorry to read that. You absolutely don't deserve this. All I can say is that you will get through it and come out stronger.
Keep posting and feel free to message me if you need to. xx

Thank you so much for your loving words.

I just feel like crying,

someone at my work walked up to the owner and showed them a screenshot of the article and said "well that explains everything that's been happening with her the last few months"

fortunately the owner knows what's going on, and has known since my OH got initially arrested

he just said to him that I need support right now and that I'm not okay and that I don't want to talk about it

I don't even know what to do, if I should even say anything to this person or if I should just leave it

It sounds like your boss has dealt with the person for you. I personally wouldn't engage with anyone about it but that's entirely your call of course.
Concentrate on looking after yourself and the people who matter to you and ignore the rest xx

Oh Flo, I really do feel for you. As well as publishing untruths the media also decided to call my person a P in the headline. I've been where you are and can relate to those awful feelings of anxiety and despair. During the first few days I had to force myself to leave the house as I feared what people would say. But as the days turned into weeks I realised that people had their own things to think about and that I could go out without fear. For my person the struggle at leaving the home and going anywhere that he thinks he might see someone he knows continues but he is gradually working his way through this and each day makes a little bit of progress. I know it doesn't seem like it at the moment but I can reassure you that you will get through this.
