Hi Mj, I'm not in Scotland so feel at a loss to advise you but wanted to reach out as mine was my son too so understand what you are going though.

Hi there, I'm in Scotland and I am over 2 years into this all so I may be able to offer advice.

I haven't heard of a childrens reporter before so I've had a look at who they are. My guess would be that because you have a younger child they will want to make sure that you are protective of him/her. I know it feels awful, I have been through it. They may just want to make sure, especially as you are a parent to both children, that you would be able to protect your youngest should your oldest visit the house for example.
