Just read about a man that served his prison sentence for a crime involving a relationship with a teenager.

He is now working and married.

So he's been 'spotted' and the article states his new name, his address and his place of employment. Including photos of him. Of course all the details of his past.

i just find this so unfair. He's served his sentence, on the register and no doubt being monitored - why the witch hunt?

I must state not one of us put aside a victim or condone this type of crime, but is this man tarred forever?

Is my thinking of (unfair) too lenient?

It's disgusting that this is allowed to happen and for what purpose does it serve by reporting it all over again. Makes me so mad smile xx

I agree - no doubt if challenged the rationale would be 'people have a right to know who is living in their street' which doesn't say much for their trust in the procedure for monitoring a sex offender which as we know is very thorough. Shame that isn't a focus for the media if they really want to set people's minds at rest! But of course that isn't nearly as sensational for a headline. GRRRRRR! Poor man, wife and family.

It is unfair, he has served his sentance and the sheer impact will not only effect him but also his family x

Hi, this is just awful for the guy and his family, as you say he's served his sentence and should now live in peace but no, those who commit these offences will be looking over their shoulder for the rest of their lives :(

If this is the case i think it is, the man has now lost his job. I cannot help but feel, that the papers do not care about the victims in this case. The teenager who will have the case in the papers again, this will bring up memories that they may not want to remember. There will be people who know who she is. The ex wife who would have lived through the trama the first time around. The new wife who people close will now know who she is married to. To what purpose has this achieved? One more family possibly on benefits and another family broken. I am not minimizing what he has done, but are people not allowed to be rehabiliated and try to be a good member of society. Apparently not and it has made me very fearful of my OH future.

What I did find surprising about this story is the massive amount of support he's had saying he's served his sentence and should be left alone. Even the company that have sacked him have been criticised xx

I agree ladies and can see Parkerpoo's take. I see my son now gaining confidence and I keep emphasising his 'clean slate' when he's released., but I don't think that 'slate' will ever be clear sadly.

This angers and saddens me for all concerned. If it was any other crime the media wouldn't bat an eye lid.
