Why does evidence go back and fro between the CPS and police? My person's evidence went between CPS and the police twice and I was just wondering why this happens??

This happened at least 3 times for my person. I think it is when the CPS want further evidence or need to clarify the evidence they've been given.
Hi , that's what I thought to be fair, that maybe the evidence wasn't quite right so CPS double check and check again until they're sure it's enough to convict xxx

sometimes the CPS will send it back to the police with what they call an action plan for the police, this will detail what they believe the police need to clarify or do further to gain the charges.

Hi Bav, thanks for responding. I did think maybe when CPS need more clarity in order to meet charges threshold then they would need to go back to the police xx
