Enhanced DBS Representations

OH arrest in July for IIOC viewing (and distribution as images went to drop box), nothing has even gone to CPS yet.
In Aug I put in for an enhanced DBS for voluntary work at local rugby club.
Now 3.5 months later I have had a response from the police saying I can make representations against the following statement
Please can you advice what safeguarding measures will be taken by me so OH does not gain access to children in your role.
Basically I cam going to say this is something I do independently as a volunteer at a rugby club. My OH is not involved in this work / never has been / never will be. He is not even a member of the club.
Most of my work is on the computer as it is administration but I also put name labels on children.
Thoughts and advice?

Hi,
I would potentially add that the administration work is on password protected devices if you do this from home so he would never have access to any information. You could also explain what your role involves to reassure them further as in the tasks you have described you actually don't come into contact with the children yourself never mind someone who isn't part of the club xxx
Edited to add that I read the part about putting labels on children as putting labels on their clothes, apologies xxx

thank you!
Yes I put label on their clothes when they arrive at sessions - I do not coach and most chidren are with their parent that this point still as they are all 4 / 5 years old.
I am so upset the potential impact on me as this is a big thing socially for me and my mental health and I have a lot of friends at the club.

If echo what has been said. Detail the voluntary work you do, perhaps broken down by task so they can better grasp the role and the risks. Then consider any ways to mitigate ris, like as suggestion - Password protect on all documents, folders and devices for anything associated with the voluntary work. You could consider two factor authentication (a lot of web based solutions offer this free of charge).
Thank you and I have also spoken to the unlock helpline this AM who were great as giving me a few more ideas about the offence being online only, that I didn't know about the offending before the knock, that obviously no children come to the house and that only myself and my children are members of the club where I volunteer. Also all data is processed in line with GDPR rules and yes everything is password protected. I am not sure there is 2FA on the main system I use but I will check that out as that is also an excellent idea.
Email will be returned today / tomorrow...... and fingers crossed.

Finally I have got my DBS.... submitted in Aug, respresentations in Nov, and now here in Jan I have a result!
I don't have physically the DBS but everything is "green" on the system and it says "certificate contains not information" so phew!!!
I am so pleased but I am also thinking about others as I write this as for me no one is checking the status of the DBS as it is a voluntary job and the fact that this has taken 5 months has not been a problem but for others there will be questions alone as to why the DBS has taken so long..... which might mean you have to disclose something.
I am not however planning on signing up for the update service as I don't want this to happen every year. I don't actually believe my role needs a DBS anyway due to the limited contact with children in an admin role so my next task is actually to challenge that with the club so that I don't need to do one again in 3 years time and go through all that worry presuming by then he will have been sentenced.
