So at last Ofcom are proposing to tighten up on age restrictions when accessing online porn. Having to provide official documents, face recognition, credit card details etc.

im sure youngsters will find a way round it - scary reading - one in ten primary school children have viewed on line porn - average age to start to view porn is 13 - large percentage of young men are under the impression it's normal to use violence during sex, incl strangulation.

A child googled a swear word and porn appeared - WHAT ?????????

To me this makes absolutely horrific reading and I'm sure any restrictions are not bullet proof but for goodness sake crack on and do something.......

I agree. My situation is related to my husband but reading about the hell others have gone through with their sons has opened my eyes to how easy it is to get in trouble. As a mother to a 13 year old I find it terrifying. Thinking of going to see my MP. I feel so strongly about it and just don't know what I could do. But feel I have to do something!

I remember hearing that statistic about ten plus years ago...even when I was in primary school in early 2000s I heard boys discuss porn and one boy filmed a girl on the playground!

My parents did their best to keep inappropriate things away from me, very tight online restrictions. But it was my friends who shared vids and viral videos. Didn't ask to see them but abushed a few times.

I agree with the proposals to make it harder, better late than never? But this issue has been around for decades now. Just hope future generations become better informed

Definitely not a recent problem, my persons porn addiction started when he was aged 12 in year 2000, and his parents let him have a computer in his room

Stats say 10% of children have watched by age 9, but the majority of these are boys so it may be nearer 20% for males
