Evidence and forensics

Hi,
Looking for confirmation really, when devices go for checking after the initial knock - is this when forensics check and submit reports to CPS to confirm charges and what charges should be? Or do forensics get involved later on in the process if charges are being queried??
Thanks xxx

Just want an end to it,
That's what I thought, forensic evidence is given to the CPS in order for charges to be made.
What happens if there isn't enough forensic evidence??

It depends what you mean by not enough. If they don't think they have enough to bring charges, they might just issue an NFA letter, but depending on the circumstances they can still issue a caution, or an out of court disposal, which could include conditions such as attending an awareness course. They could also apply for a Sexual Risk Order, which has conditions too.
One scenario is if the person has performed a factory reset on their phone, so there is no evidence, but the police know they have accessed a certain website, where illegal images are known to be held. That would probably result in a caution, rather than NFA.

Hi
We have charges but solicitor has said not enough forensic evidence to link all charges to my person so unsure what happens next, and by posting I'm in no way infering that my person might "get away with it". I will never condone what he's done but I know the reasons why and the darkness he's been through from such a young age and I understand why this is the path he took :(

I think next move would be to prove my person didn't know the age of the person he was chatting to and he blocked them when he found out the age, also the person sent her pics to him initially but the only evidence is the person's screenshots of what they wanted to screenshot.
We will see if the above can be proved xx
