Is it possible to have a holiday abroad (Europe) with a suspended sentence.

Hi,

Yes it is and it is probably better to do it before the ETIAS scheme comes in. I asked the PPU about travelling the other day and was advised Europe is fine, going to Thailand to look at kids isn't (this infuriated me but I smiled sweetly whilst wanting to rip her throat out)

There will be a marker on the passport but the other country can't see this. On return to the UK the password won't work on e-gates so he will have to go to a border control officer and be discreetly asked some questions on where he has been, who with etc.

I hope this helps x

My son went Europe the other week with his Grandad, all was fine. He got asked a few questions when he came back through, nothing major, where have you been? what did you do? did you have a good time? Just looks like a random check to be honest. You can't go through the automatic customs gates, you have to go to an officer. My son wears a sunflower lanyard anyway so was no issue, straight through disabilities.

i would say if your going with people who don't know, make sure your person is last. Just gives you a bit of cover

I'm hoping that they'll just scrap the Etias they've been postponing it every year for the past few it's currently now set for 2025 was supposed to be 2024.

we're still waiting for charges but have traveled to USA with no issues.

I'm hoping they scrap etias too, they seem to be having major problems implementing it so fingers crossed. I'd not I'll be using the last of our savings to take my little one on a trip somewhere the month before it comes in!
