Happy Saturday, we hope everyone is as well as can be on their journey xx

My person has been advised to plead not guilty to some of the charges against him and we've had a fee estimate from the solicitor, which is quite a big fee !

Does anyone have any rough guides figure wise as to how much it cost for their solicitor and if the plea was guilty or not guilty.

The solicitor so far has been good and my person is comfortable and happy with their representation and we want to proceed with them but the charges are a bit crazy xxx

Just want an end to it

My son was advised to plead guilty. He was told that if he pleaded not guilty he would go to trial and if then found guilty would go to prison. He pleaded guilty and received a 2 year suspended sentence. We didn't use a specialist solicitor but went with a local firm. Most solicitors these days are used to dealing with these type of cases and have gained experience in them. The judge had read through all the evidence, mitigation and character references in depth before the case.

My person was advised to plead guilty (around 150 iioc). Got 12 months on the register and 300h unpaid work. His solicitor has been recommended to us due to his experience dealing with such cases.
Total cost was around £2,500.

Not guilty pleas are unfortunately always more expensive they can be double or more depending on lots of factors but mainly the barristers fees, the additional prep time, and the specialist reports often needed to 'prove' innocence.

Hi Bettyboo, My son is Autistic and was just 18 (2 months after his 18th bithday) he was sexually exploted by others, and his exucutive function is lower then a normal 18 year old. What he done was wrong (small number of ABC and shared 3 B/C) but he was groomed too.

Thanks everyone for replies and happy New Year's Eve!

My person is going through tests at the moment for dissociative personality disorder stemming from childhood trauma and the solicitor is aware of this so we'll see how it goes xxx
