Hi,
First post here. My OH has been investigated for IIOC. The police haven't found any actual images but have found evidence of files downloaded in bit torrent log files on his PC. Without the actual images would the CPS still see this as enough to bring charges or would it likely go to caution or NFA as they can't prove the actual contents of the files downloaded?

it's unusual that the police will have shared this information without confirming their next step. I feel like they should have said nfa due to insufficient evidence.
There are a few stages of forensic examination so perhaps it will be sent for a more detailed examination.
