New job and family member

hi folks , hoe your all aswell as can be today , I am wondering if anyone can help, my family member is young adult , not my child , doesn't live with me I have no responsibility for, I work within a school, do I have to notify my work that my family member had been charged with iioc? as I stated not my son, a relative ? any advice greatly appreciated

As far as I know you're only required to tell employers when you live with the person as this is when it may show on your enhanced dbs xxx

thanks for replying, I thought was the case but just wanted to be more aware you know how people can try and mess with you when someone in the family has committed an offence or charged and was saying to myself surely I cannot be punished for something someone within a family has been charged with. but we all know how our brains work being in this situation
I agree, you tell if it's someone you live with or someone you have parental responsibility for, as far as I know.

I was just worrying is all I personally don't have to but was curious , I think after what happened with my family relative who doesn't live with me nor my child, I just panicked because unfortunately where I live people are devious and look for opportunities to ruin things for others and my mind was going 100 to the dozen!!! xx
