Good evening lovlies x

A new year ahead for us all , may it be filled with kindness no matter what stage of this journey you are all on x

A short week for me at work and it has flown by but glad its Friday

No.plans really apart from the excitement of some food shopping, hasn't it been bloomin cold and the rain! So once I am home tomorrow it will be a day of pjs, heating on and just started to watch Game of Thrones never been bothered about seeing it but running out of things to watch lol

My HC is doing ok, he is glad to be back to the daily routine, we have a visit next week xx

Webb I'm sorry your not feeling to great always here for you to message me but wanted to let you know I am thinking of you

Also thinking of WeeWitch and Pippin x

So this weekend I think each and everyone of us should do just one small, tiny thing just for yourself, something to lessen the heavy heart a walk, a run, a coffee, a new pair of shoes , you all get the idea :-) and when you do it think of each and everyone of us and it will put a small smile upon our faces even just for a moment, but behind that smile will be one enormous fluffiest hug sent that just reminds us how special we all are to have met each other xx

Love sent as always xx

Such lovely sentiments in your message. Enjoy your restful weekend watching G of T and I hope you have a lovely visit next week with your HC :)

I've started crafting again and I'm loving it and I have a spa day with the girls in my family coming up in a couple of weeks. Definitely something to look forward to.

I've got a quiet weekend before I return to work on Monday.

Love and hugs to all x

Upset Mum, those are lovely ideas. I have 3 kids under 4, so don't get much time to myself. However, a hot shower in the evening with some soap and glory products and a coffee are usually the highlights of my day. :)

I wish you all a lovely weekend and all the best for 2024.

I do enjoy the Friday check in. It reminds me that we're all here for each other and that none of us are dealing with things alone.

I'm still struggling with the flu. I returned to work on Tuesday and Wednesday but was absolutely wiped out by the time I got home each day. Yesterday my temperature was high again and I had to spend yet another day under a blanket on the sofa.

My son had an interview yesterday which he thought went well and was feeling quite positive about. At the end of the day though he received an email from them asking for the details of his conviction. He's left a message with his PO asking advice about how to reply but hasn't heard anything back yet so hasn't yet responded to the workplace.

I've been watching the programme about the post office this week which has made me realise that there are so many other things which destroy peoples lives and that we just never know what other people are going through.

I think this weekend will be spent providing supervision for the grandchildren and resting in the hope I can finally turn the corner on this virus.

I'm sending my love to you all and hoping you all manage to find some time for yourselves this weekend.

All good here - enjoyed the festivities but it inevitably brings stresses - so glad it's over and things can get back to normal.

My treat this afternoon was catching up on Classic Coronation Street, how I love the characters those days, soaps are too serious nowadays.....

My son too is glad to be working outdoors again though heavy flooding in the area is causing problems.

So yep - not too bad x love to all ......

Had a lovely Christmas and we have just socialised for the first time since sentencing. We had a friend over and it was lovely. Starting to feel normal again.

I have done the thing where I completely forget what everyone else has posted once I start writing! Anyway, I hope that there are lots of fur baby walks this weekend

also that the HC and Smile's son are doing well.

thinking of the new members here and pipin and wee witch too

have a smashing weekend all (or a peaceful one at least)

xx

Hello Friday Check In. I'm glad to have the festivities behind me, it's been such a tough and sad time. At least being back at work and busy helps, although it's with OH so I don't get a break from all this and it's hard to be smiley to customers. I'm planning a fairly quiet weekend of finishing a knitting project, with some exercise and fresh air thrown in.

Thinking of everyone xx

Hello all.

Glad to be back to work after the xmas break to be honest. It was lovely but the novelty wears off after Boxing Day for me. Back into a normal routine now.

A friends baby shower this weekend, at a posh hotel no less! Times have changed! Looking forward to that.

Other than that, walkies with my furbaby...not far as she's slowing up (she's 14 bless her) but it's forecast to be dry at last and the sun is making an appearance!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. A lovely idea put to us, will be thinking of you all on a sunny, slow paced furbaby walk.

X

Had an ok week. Been really down and unsettled over Christmas but don't know why and my anxiety during the night is bad again. My sons case is now going through the courts this week for access to our grandchildren again which is another hill to climb. It just feels like there will never be an end to it all xx

Hello friday check in (though it is saturday oops)

I am sorry you are down Mandymoo. January is always such a hard month but sorry that you have been struggling. I am glad your son are ok Smile and upset and crossing my fingers for your son Ocean. I am hoping you feel better soon.

I am ok. Had a wobble a couple of days ago. Been speaking to my friend in work who is always laid back about everything and is good at asking questions to make me think. I got myself worked up about a meeting on friday, but feel better about it now.

I went out last night which was good fun, have not done much this last week except sit around and eat, gone back to work but its ok. Finished all my chcoclate so no more binge eating that so hoping i get back onto my diet. Want to get slim finally this year. I have lost loads but have loads to go. The coming week my evening classes of line dancing and dog training start up so will be kept busy with that. Tomorrow hoping to go for a walk with my pup so will do as upset said and think of you all incrediable people on this forum. Thank you for the replies i got from my post, this forum is truly a lifeline.

Heres to a good week. X
