I have searched and read many different experiences in the Forum re advising an Insurance Company on Convictions.

Has anyone recently had experience of looking for a new Insurance Broker/Insurance company that will accept and not overcharge due to my Husbands conviction.

We have

1) Car Insurance

2)Motor home

3) Home

I look forward to receiving some direction. Thank you.

With regard to car insurance it is only the direct line group which don't ask

and for home insurance I think it is Home Protect

Churchill and Privilige only ask about motoring convictions, so also good for cars.

If you go on unlock there are 3 places. We're with Churchill for car and privillage for the house. Although the prices unfortunately will be higher than other places but only companies you can use

I have heard Admiral will accept poeple with convictions. Perhaps give them a ring and find before asking for a quote. I use Churchill for car and Home portect for house. And yes they are a lot more expensive than what i was paying before!

As it's a Motor Home cover I require I've had to go to a Broker...Adrian Flux and the chap was very helpful. Not got a quote yet and no idea of price. Will post my progress.

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone.

My OH's car insurance is due next week and he's had his renewal price through (more expensive anyway as insurance prices for all are abysmal currently).

He's logged in and updated it to say he has a conviction now. It hasn't asked what the conviction is. The quote has now reduced to less than last year instead of increasing.

This is with Admiral. Adding the unspent conviction is the only thing he's changed.

It might be worth checking with your own insurer first to see what can be done.

Hope this helps someone :)

It didn't affect car insurance, but did affect the cost of home insurance.

Just another delight to add to the whole situation. We used Home Protect for Home Insurance.

Hope you get sorted.
