Hi, my son has a zoom appointment next week with a view to joining a session of group therapy meetings with LLF. I have read here about StopSo therapists being available - should he be contacting them also? He is currently on bail with devices being checked by police for viewing iioc. Thanks for reading x

Hi Elliott, it's good that your son has a meeting with LFF as I'm sure he will find their course very helpful. It was like the lights had gone back on in my sons eyes at the end of his first session on the LFF course.

I think the decision on whether to also contact Stopso has to be a decision made by your son with consideration around his reasons for offending in the first place. My son offended due to low self esteem which led to addiction. He needed therapy to help him with these areas and for him that was found in private face to face psychotherapy in our local area. He is still in therapy 2 years later and because it's private, he can continue as long as he feels he is gaining something from it.

Your son has taken a big first step in contacting LFF so well done to him on that.

Just want an end to it

Hi Elliott,

my son engaged with LFF but I found a counsellor locally as he wanted face 2 face sessions and I also wanted someone that understood autism so they could give him the time and space he needed with the understanding on how he may process differently to others.
