This week my partner was arrested ... I had no idea what had been happening until 4 police officers were stood at my door as I was about to go to work.
We have 2 children and I just don't know where to start. All I do is cry!
He's everywhere in the house - the children don't understand where he is and why he's not here. I don't feel like I can tell anyone - I feel ashamed I didn't know - and I feel so alone.

It’s only a few weeks since I was in the same situation as you and the threads on here helped me in getting to grips with understanding that I wasn’t alone. The first step I needed to get me across to the next day. You are not alone. You have been subjected to a traumatic situation and have done a great thing reaching out to this forum.

We are all here to listen and try to give advice.

I was shocked when my OH was charged...my world's axis tilted and it's never been the same since.

It was a total shock and you start to doubt your relationship ...how you didn't know...did you miss anything.. the man you love and have shared a life with has secrets..

It is a rollercoaster and you will get through it. ..it will take some time, tears and sleepless nights but please do reach out as there is lots of help and support here.

Xx

Well done for reaching out Mary, I posted for the first time today and am so grateful for the responses.

it's comforting to hear you're not the only one going through something this awful.

i was also pretty much ready to go downstairs and leave the house when we had the knock and my whole life was turned upsidown!

hope the tears slow soon x
