Has anyone found a company who will insure a caravan without asking about any criminal convictions?

You could try the broker Adrian Flux, they seem very laid back at things and do specialist insurance. I think they are mentioned on the Unlock page.

Hi, not a caravan but a Motor Home...Adrian Flux got us a quote...it was so much more expensive than we'd paid previously. They were extremely helpful and not in the least way judgemental.

One other thing to watch though is your caravan and camping /motorhome clubs both do not accept anyone on SOR.

"Persons who are subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual offences Act 2003 may not use any campsite under the control of the club"

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't realised that C&C club included their CL sites in the ban. Going away gives us strength to cope..... This is a blow. I'm sure we'll find other sites but we have so many favourites that it seems we won't be able to visit.

Not sure about CL sites...havent used them. Check the small print of the Club membership.

Perhaps booking directly instead of through the club's website?

I'm currently cancelling my memberships until this is all over.

Having a Motor Home is easier as we can park up overnight at various places in UK.

I agree that getting away helps my mental health. Fingers crossed you can get something sorted.

It doesn't clarify whether or not it includes small CL sites. My Oh is not yet subject to any restrictions. Once he is we were planning to use the smaller adult only sites. Have you any idea how the Clubs check?

I'd love to hear if you manage to get insured. We've just brought a caravan also and all providers on the unlock site Adrian Flux, Prudent Plus, MI insurance and many more. We've found that either their panel would insure him but don't offer caravan insurance or those that do offer won't insure my husband. It's so frustrating, any other conviction wouldn't be a problem but not sexual offences.

Numb and Scared,

Ultimately we have to advise both the SW and Police where we want to go at least a week before. They will check and report back if we can go. For example I had given the post code of a site not with CC club however as they had a play park we were not allowed. The adult only sites is perhaps a way to go and I will looking into that for us too.

We ended up on a piece of private car park in the lakes..had a great time away too.
