Notifications OFF
Hi, could anyone tell me what is expected when called for second interview? Is that a positive that things are getting into the process of being concluded or? I havent stoppped stressing since my OH got the email on monday.
When my son was called in it was to say they'd done the investigation and they were ready to send to CPS x

I'm not sure that you can refuse to go?? I think that a second interview is performed because the police have found more evidence than was discussed in the first interview.
Second interviews are not voluntary. You can be arrested if you don't go.

Not everyone gets a second interview, depends if more evidence is found
It typically means they give the heads up they plan to go to CPS. In my experience charges follow a month later, and then another month for court.
So it is a sign that the process should pick up.
I understand the frustration of going if it is just no comment, but would not going be used against them in court? Even pleading guilt the judge will take all aspects into consideration.
For example, my partner was criticised by the judge for withholding passwords as he game no comment throughout

Thank you all. Oh god now im stressing even more if its that they've found more! is that always the case or sometimes? im hoping its coming to the end now. The limbo has been killing me.
If they haven't already gone please make sure they have a solicitor present. It's the best bit of advice can give. Second interview is to say what they've found they will go into discription of pictures or videos aswell so be prepared. They also use it as a technique to gain extra information off them so normally a no comment interview is best but the solicitor will advise on all of these
