Hi ladies.... just listening to the news today, what a world we live in, it's all so frightening and violent.

Yep all ok here and I've enjoyed slightly warmer weather. The garden is full of growth and new beginnings......

My boy too has been off colour, he's had two hepatitis B injections, so not sure if it's side effects.

yep on track.

Hello everyone,

Been a pretty awful week here - elderly relative had a fall and is now in hospital with a broken arm and neck injury so lots of stress there.

Son applied for a job and was meant to have an interview today so beforehand he contacted his PO and Visor to check whether they had any issues with it- they told him that basically any job he applies for he needs to make a disclosure beforehand even though legally it states you don't need to unless requested to and that they would go into any workplace to also disclose this effectively rules him out of applying for any position.

Im just so sick of all this now and he is in a really bad state currently.

Sorry just re- read this and realised that it sounds all about me , as always my heart goes out to all those on here whatever stage of the journey you are on and sending you love and strength xxx

Seaside surely the best thing for him to aid rehabilitation is to have a job?!? Seems like the probation are bullies. Can you complain to their manager?

Hello friday check in

Week very stressful. Had new computers in work and only mine did not work. So spent the week trying to sort that out. Finally after a week and a day it has now been resolved.

But on a good note had to tell a close friend about OH. So scared they would disown me like a previous friend but they couldn't have been nicer and more supportive if they tried. This is such a weight lifted.

Good evening Friday check in,

I don't actually have any news this week and am very pleased to report that all is good and calm in my world at the moment. The new job I was moved into is going ok and has actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it's less stressful than the job I am contracted to do. My son hasn't yet managed to find a job but he's not letting it get him down and seems to be remaining hopeful that he'll find something eventually.

I am mindful that many of you are still in limbo land and my thoughts very much go out to you. It's a horrible place to be but you will eventually come through it and life will eventually get easier.

Good morning Friday Check-Inners (and all the best too to those who read this every week but don't feel able to write a post themselves yet. Please do, everyone is welcome, it's a space without walls, room for everyone!)

Upset and Smile - sorry your boys are unwell and hope they both feel better soon.

Seaside - I am so cross on your behalf about the treatment your son has encountered. How dare they put obstacles in the way of him getting his life back on track. Even an idiot can see that meaningful work is a positive step back to a healthy life and anything else is a punishment. Grrrrrrr!!

Louise - hello!

InTurmoil - fingers crossed for sentencing and hope your meeting goes well.

Webb - hooray for understanding friends! They are so precious and help us keep hope alive.

Ocean - I'm glad your job is going well and hope there is something around the corner for your son.

As for me - life is torn between the stress of what's to come for our son and our involvement with our grandchildren. We had our fostering assessment back and now it has to go to panel in a few weeks. It's been a lot of work but has been a distraction from other things.

I went into London with a friend to see The King and I with Helen George from Call the Midwife in it. I suspect many of the audience (who were of our senior age) were there to see Helen as CTM is such a popular TV programme so when it started and we realised it wasn't her in the role at that performance, there was an audible rumble of surprised mutters all around! I was half expecting the news to report 'elderly theatre goers evicted for rioting at a West End theatre'! Actually Helen's alternate was wonderful, as was the whole production - a real trip down memory lane and I can't wait to teach my younger grandson 'I whistle a happy tune' or 'Getting to Know You'. He loves singing so I'm hoping I've found my future theatre buddy!

Have a good week everyone xxx

I am two weeks into finding out, and 9 weeks pregnant. My hormones are everywhere. I feel so sick. I'm living at my mums at 39 years of age. He gets sentenced 1 March and I'm going to hear all the details, for the sake of my baby. Very emotional few weeks. I'm so glad there are people here who know what I'm going through. Sending you all love
