Afternoon lovlies x

I hope your week has been kind to you all x

It has non stopped rained here for the last 2 days but no snow thankfully

My car went in for some TLC to get it through the MOT as it failed last week, my purse is a lot lighter but we have a clean bill of health and a years MOT so one less thing to worry about x

As for the HC he is doing well, his degree work is going in the right direction and he is weeks ahead in his modules, he has gotten over the flu bug so feels a lot better x

No furbaby this weekend, just the usual exciting food shopping tomorrow, and I have a new book to read so hopefully I will make an effort to read it over the weekend xx

This weekend it is someone very special to us all Birthday and I know she dosent want a fuss but I want to wish my dearest friend Smile who has had my heart since day one of meeting here over 3 years ago, she is like a sister to me and we have so much in common, we talk almost daily without her my journey would have been so much more difficult, she listens to me moaning, she picks me up when I am down, she always makes me smile, she is one in a million, kind, compassionate, selfless, funny, strong, querky, level headed, what you see is what you get, and I am incredibly grateful for our friendship, i will raise a glass to you my dear friend x love you to pieces xx

Happy birthday to Smile!

We are now nearly two months post-sentencing. OH on gradual return home and it finally feels like things are returning to normal (fingers crossed)

He resigned his job after media attention (he would have been sacked anyway) but has yet to have any luck finding anything. That is a problem for another day.

We are happy and together and hope you are all able to find some peace this weekend too x

Happy birthday dear Smile - I echo everything that Upset has said you truly are one of the bravest women I have ever encountered and although we have never met I value your friendship more than I can say.

im saddened to see new people joining this forum but know that we are all here for you and together we are stronger.

Sending out love and strength to everyone xx

Happy Birthday Smile. Hope you enjoy your day. I am so sorry to hear how your son is being treated Seaside. He so very lucky he has you in his corner.

I have been mega stressed and it is not over yet. New computers in work would test the patience of a saint but they seem to finally working, at the moment. My OH was a person in a trusted position, and in the next few weeks there will be a misconduct hearing, which the conclusion is obvious but the findings will be public record. So it feels like waiting for sentencing again, as we have another chance of being in the paper. This has put me in extreme anxious mode and I am not taking it very well. My car is ill and will take nearly a couple of thousand to fix, and i have found out my elderly dog is slowly going blind. They cannot do anything about it. But on the plus my pup turned one, so we had a small celebration and she enjoyed her new toy. Not sure where I would be without my furbabies. They keep me sane.

Nothing doing this weekend either so feeling down in the dumps but hoping better times are coming. Sorry to be such a misery.

Hope everyone manages a good weekend. I am reading a good book so I will join you Upset in reading this weekend.

Sorry to read so mnay new people here, but the support from this group is brilliant as always. X

I read this earlier and needed to share with you incredibly strong mums x even in the darkest moments we remember why we are here for our sons, as mums I guess we dont have to make the decision

Dear Grown up Son

If my hug lingers its because I am remembering you when you were small and your need for me was big I remember how your hand fit in to mine, and how your eyes looked when they looked up at me, I'm remembering you, of my hug lingers its because you feel so alone but you are not, if you feel lost I will hold your hand and be there to hold you up, I will be there to listen when you feel you can open up, I will be the person to love you unconditionally, why because I am your Mum xx

Happy birthday dear Smile. I hope you have a wonderful day xxx

Myself and the small one have got the flu, thankfully she has a mild dose. Unfortunately that means that she's still going at a thousand miles an hour and all I want to do is curl up under a blanket and watch a film with a lemsip. Hopefully we're both functioning at 100% by Sunday as I've planned a birthday tea for her.

Upset, that is a lovely poem. I've managed to offer my son some hugs and words of experience over the past couple of weeks. It's made me look back at those cuddles that I never realised were our last daily ones before he moved onto love you mom whilst running out the door. Grateful for all my babies and their very different yet equally lovely personalities xxx

Upset Mum - I love the Dear grown up son letter, it just sums up our Mum feelings perfectly.

Smile - I really hope you have a happy birthday and that you find some time to have some fun.

K4 - it's great to read that you and your person are happy and together.

Seaside - I join you in feeling sad that new people have needed to join us this week.

Webb - I'm so sorry to read that you're feeling down in the dumps. I'm here for you if you want to send me a message.

Distressed - I hope you and your little one soon feel better.

As for me, I'm doing ok. My son had a job interview this week so I'm hoping and praying he is successful, but I know he has come on so well in his own mental well being that he'll accept a negative outcome without letting it set him back as well.

Happy birthday Smile hope you've had a lovely day.

Its so sad to see so many new people joining the forum, this last week or so. my heart goes out to all of them.

We are going away just for 2 nights tomorrow. Was hoping for some walking and fresh air to calm the mind but the weather is looking horrendous. Never mind I'll just have to sit in a cosy pub with good food and a wine or two. Xx

Hi everyone - pretty 'blah' week for me. Nothing very stressful but nothing much to enjoy either. Oh I did have a dental check-up which for once was clear - no fillings needed (I'm a product of multiple 1950s fillings and they are all beginning to crumble and leave big holes!)

I went to the cinema to see The Color Purple, only to find that it had been cancelled because the heating had broken and it was the only showing. Not the worst thing to happen to anyone but I got a bit cross about it which is unlike me, so probably an indicator of my general state of mind as I wanted to punch someone!!!

Happy birthday Smile, hope you had a lovely day being celebrated.

Also our older daughter who lives in Australia messaged us to say she was part of a plot with our younger daighter's partner (also out in Australia) who was going to propose. She wqs going to entice our daughter out to a cafe for brunch and her partner would be there waiting to pop the question. This morning I woke up to a deleted Whatsapp message from our younger girl so we're now on pins waiting for some news!

Lots of love to everyone xxxx

Well, our daughter is now engaged! Her sister enticed her out for brunch and 'coincidentally' it happened to be where she and her partner had their first date. Her partner was outside having decorated the front of the cafe with hearts and balloons and photos of them together plus a bottle of bubbles to open. Lovely to have something to smile about for a change and seeing their happy faces on a later FaceTime was a tonic.

Thanks Ocean - now to cross everything re the wedding location as our girl is a Brit, her partner is American and they met and now live in Australia. So they could tie the knot anywhere......

I had a good weekend, was at the playground with the kids yesterday and today.

I cooked a lovely meal today and I am happy that my weight loss after birth is on track.

My 2 oldest will be at nursery tomorrow - my husband is on sick leave at the moment due to a hernia surgery and I'm on maternity leave so we will do something lovely tomorrow with the baby in tow. We're planing on having some sushi in the city centre tomorrow and if the weather allows it, go for a nice walk in the Botanical Gardens.
