How would living with someone on the sex offenders register impact my life? Is it possible to lead sime kind of a normal life? What is a sexual harm provention order, do all sex offenders get one of those, how would that impact our lives?

I’m just starting to get to know this as my husband has one now. He will be managed by the police sex offenders unit and they will make sure he sticks to his conditions. Conditions vary as to offences- my husband has to notify if we move, sign in every year, advise if he’s away from home for more than 7 days etc. Etc, the police have also said they would notify and new employers and anyone who’s children he may have regular contact with (for instance a new partners children/grandchildren if we separated) our kids partners if we have grandkids (which they would know anyway) etc. It means he can never go to USA on holiday (and I would check other places too)

its really knowing where he is and stuff. That can also check his computer or mobile devices whenever they want.

Once we are used to it I think it will be fine

the sor for my hubby is 10 years and shpo indefinite but he will request it’s removed when he’s off the sor but it’s risk assessed at the time
