Hi, my partner got caught with indecent communication with minor back in December and doesn't have court date till April. Social work have said that he's not allowed to see our daughter before court date and he'll need to seek legal action if he wants to. Social work haven't been in touch since the day it happened and haven't contacted me back when I've requested to phone them. My daughters just under a year old, does anyone else have experience like this? And what happens after they have been sentenced regarding seeing their children?

Hi,

I haven't experienced ss not allowing any contact in cases like this. Do you have full disclosure to allow you access to all the information the solicitor has from the police?
If you know all the information about the case then you won't be blindsided by ss and can start to make a family safety plan. You can do this while you wait for ss to get back in touch. How have you been contacting them? Do you have a direct contact for the social worker who originally contacted you? It's bizarre that they would just say no contact and then not follow up with next steps etc. If you want to private message me with where in the UK you are I may be able to point you in the right direction with alternative ways to contact ss, obviously no pressure to do that at all xxx

It's important to keep trying to get in touch with the social worker for clarity and guidance. You might consider seeking legal advice to understand your rights and the implications for your family.

Also, think about support networks you can rely on during this time, like friends, family, or local support groups.
