This is the first conviction for cyber flashing, just 9 days since it became illegal on 31st January 2024. Given how common this behaviour is, I think there are going to be a lot more.

I think this does send a strong message that the online world crosses over to real world and it's mplications. As already mentioned the SOR will grow, but I can only live in hope that the wider publics understand of those on the sex offenders register aren't all the next Jimmy Savile.

Definately Sal - and I feel sex offenders are all classed as one as we've discussed many many times on the forum.

i watched a thought provoking u tube video - was a police 'person' and he was saying how 'most' of these men need help/support to rehabilitate and not to punish/custodial. He said the numbers of offenders have rocketed, much more than other crimes, and our prisons are on the edge of collapse because of how these cases are dealt with.

i agree 100% without a doubt.
