So we're a week in from going in media, there was a lot of threats apparently about the house, I chose not to read the comments, police are continuing to drive past the house on a regular basis, neighbours all know the situation and are all still speaking to us we live in a quiet street, all neighbours been here years, are we still at risk I am scared to breathe a little better.

Hope you're ok love. I do think that people who make threats against you or threaten to damage your property should be punished too! Even if it's just a caution. It's nothing to do with strangers whats happened in your lives. They aren't in danger! I can understand hatred towards an offender who has commited crimes against another family but they should also be punished if the police are informed

Hope you are ok lovely x

Please do not let the worry of what if, the reaction to people who do not have a clue to what you have been going through do not have the right to let you live in fear , of course there are some who think they have the right put the fear of god in to your life BUT they do not!

I used to think the same after my sons case was in the media, keyboard warriors are one thing, we had no repercussions and after a few days I thought enough of worring ,I know it is easier said than done x

Each day forward is another day of you getting stronger and that is the most important thing you have to focus on xx

We've lived on our street for 40 years and despite the full media circus thankfully we got no repercussions when our son was arrested. Exactly the opposite, most were very kind and supportive especially our direct neighbours.

I too was a nervous wreck. Strangely despite it all being in the open, I told a couple of people - wanting them to hear 'my' side, wished I'd never done so - as they had no idea in the first place what had happened!!!!!

I knew )speaking personally here) - at that stage I was overthinking it all and 'tried' to relax.

I too told some of my friends, via FB messenger the morning after our knock happened. Within 48 hours the group who "caught" my husband had received screenshots of all my messages and were sharing and commenting on those publicly. Nearly 4 years down the line, things have obviously been tough, but their "evidence" wasn't as strong as they believed as their predicted outcomes didn't happen. Obviously I feel very strongly about safeguarding children but also believe my neighbourhood was whipped up by this group which didn't help us
