Hi I am taking a day at a time at the moment because my husband & stepson(charged with illoc)have now left the family home

I am lucky to have 2 amazing adult children, friends & family supporting me

I am off work with depression & anxiety.I just spoke to my boss & have talked about my mental health & opened up about my stepson's offence. So of course she has to go to the Head & safeguarding officer to see where this leaves my job!Has anyone got experience of living a job because of illoc?

Thanks

I think it's illegal if they sack you for this.

Speak to ACAS.

I work in a school and all is ok. I made the safeguarding team aware of my situation and I've continued working there x

Hi,

i work in a school and still work there. The police told me i had to tell my Head as they would need to talk to her (which was rubbish as they never have and it's 8 months after the knock). So I told her and she had a duty to tell one person at the trust - they're the only two people who know.

Hi,

I am the safeguarding team in a school and my (ex)partner was arrested last Nov.
You can imagine my horror and shame.
I was reported to the LADO because of my role and thankfully closed as he no longer lives with me and I've ended the relationship.
thankfully work have been very supportive though there are times when I have to manage similar cases which is triggering and difficult. I took 2 days off then straight back in. Maybe too soon so take your time. This week has been a struggle.

Thanks for your reassurance everyone. My work are being very supportive & I've started divorce proceedings because of how badly myself & my children have been treated by my husband especially since my stepsons arrest.I now know I don't trust him & he's not there fully for us

My adult children. & friends are amazing especially since I've become ill & off work with depression & anxiety.I am on new meds, having counselling,b pressure being monitored, etc. So very sad how I've been let down by the man I thought loved me

Time to put me first????
