I have my youngest (adult) son with me today which is lovely as he lives several hours away.
Today I am sad that as my sons forge lives for themselves they no longer have a father to guide and advise them. That if they have children there will be a grandparent missing.
I'm also sad that this is my first mother's day without my own mum. But also grateful she passed without knowing what a shit show my life had become.

Happy Mums day to all us strong ladies????We are there for our children,stepchildren,grandchildren,etc.We know how to love & provide support for our families in this turmoil

Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing mothers on here. Our days may be different now to how we imagined, no breakfast in bed or a day without chores for those of us with little ones and different family set ups.
My son took me out for dinner yesterday as my Mother's Day treat. At the in laws today. Had the best cuddle and love you mommy from the small one who is oblivious to the fact it's a significant day but that made all the more special xxx
