Good Afternoon lovlies x

I do hope your week has been kind to you x

It has definitely flown by for me, work has been really busy but good lots of admin stuff to get done so all up to date , a nice way to end the working week x

No visit planned this weekend with the HC but have a visit with my daughter next Sat, he is doing well, ahead of his modules again for his degree, but due to how slow things are in prison he now has to wait for the next stage in Oct! Should have been Feb!a bit frustrating but something to look forward to in the winter months I guess, where he is they have changed the length of phone calls from 19 mins to a whole hour so we have had a couple of lengthy calls this week,

This weekend my daughter is out with her BF for her friends Birthday so I have the furbaby we managed to avoid the downpour earlier, she is now fast asleep with the sun on her face x

I hope your weekend has some nice things ahead x

Love sent as always xx

Hello friday check in.

Been on a bit of downer this week and next week will not be any better.

But had my nails done today & going out for drinks with a friend tomorrow night, and hoping to avoid the rain with a nice long walk with one of my furbabies tomorrow. Though the walk will be on my own. But it is always nice to get out.

I hope you all manage a nice weekend, we all deserve a nice chilled couple of days (though i am working sunday, but hey ho)

Webb- sorry that you're having a hard time at the moment please message me if you want a chat anytime XXX

My go to treat is a facial or hot stones massage .

Funny old week here as I have had some kind of virus which has made me really tired and lethargic but next week I'm off to London for a few days which will be lovely.

Wishing everyone here a good weekend and as always love and strength to you all xxx

Seaside I am with Upset about hot stones massage sounding painful, but i have heard it is nice. I am too squeamish for them.

Thank you Seaside and Upset for your support. These last few months I have had such great support from you and so many people on this forum. I am lucky to have friends here.

Good evening folks, strange week here and I am continually learning to take each day as it comes, oh sacked last Friday from his job due to conviction, applied for 2 factory jobs Monday interviewed Wednesday offered the jobs thursday so starts his induction Monday tueaday next week, spoke to liaison officer she is delighted for him and at his supervision today they were happy with it also, job never asked about any conviction and he was told he didn't have to disclose it, as no shpo and no under 18 work there. Neighbour today gave oh a wave today which sounds so small but you just want to know your not hated, It boosted his confidence.

Daughter been sitting some tests at school 80% for biology and 100% for her business couldn't be more proud of her and tonight she went out with friends.

I was given an award at work I think because they realise what we have gone through and at no time have I let it effect my work was nice to be appreciated.

We have survived another week, hoping oh gets on OK at new job it's around 35 minutes out our area which I feel is best for now as will allow his confidence to grow, less the 11 months until conviction is spent.

Have as good a weekend as possible folks xxx

Wow lots of good things to celebrate x

Your daughter is a credit to you both x

I wish hubby all the best in his new job x

Congratulations on your award, isn't it a strange feeling to think that you were falling apart inside yet no one knew what was going on, that is an absolute credit to you x I wonder where you daughter gets her strength from xx

Hi Upset Mum,

I love your Friday check ins and it means the weekend is here!

So happy for your HC, he's keeping positive with all the love he's got from yourselves.

We've had a quiet week, just waiting for a trial date, although my person is thinking of going against solicitors recommendations and pleading guilty just to not have to face an outdated jury system and not to lose a third off any potential sentence given. This makes me so sad but I understand his reasoning and will be here with him no matter what

Work keeps me occupied too in the week but I'm so looking forward to a lie in tomorrow xxx

Glad your ok, it must be a worry all the same, my son pleaded guilty from the outset but in hindsight he has said he wished he had gone not guilty , but as I said to him we can never look back only forward, x

I just re read what I put it wasnt very clear , it was one of the charges he wanted to plead not guilty to the others he was guilty from the onset, his thoughts behind had it gone to trial it may have made a difference but only on one of his charges, xx hope that makes more sense x

I am interested in hot stone massage - I had a deep tissue massage once and my back hurt even more after the massage. I'm not sure that's supposed to happen?

Kids are in bed now and I'm enjoying a hot cup of tea :)

We will take the kids out for pizza tomorrow.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

I have never had a massage and as much as hot stones feel painful I can imagine it might actually be good x enjoy your weekend xx

Upset,

In my person's words "sex offenders are the scum of the earth so what chance do I stand against a jury". It's just awful that he feels that way xxx

Good evening Friday check in, I love a hot stone massage. It's so relaxing and soothing.

Today I went out for coffee and cake and on the back of the menu I found a card with a hand painted picture on it and the message 'one day at a time'. On the back it said 'this was left to make you smile, please keep it if you like it'. It was such a lovely thing to find. I took it home with me and intend to leave it somewhere for someone else to find in the hope it makes them smile in the same way it did for me.

Webb, I'm thinking of you and am here if you want to message me.

I hope you all manage to find a few minutes for self care this weekend even if it's just 5 minutes of deep breathing and meditation.

Betty, my son decided to plead guilty as he couldn't face the thought of a trial and he has no regrets in his decision.

Hi everyone - can I just send a blanket hug and/or thumbs up to everyone please? Got visitors and trying to do a quick catch-up before everyone is up and needing breakfast.

I've been away this week, seeing some shows which were all excellent (for any other theatre lovers I saw 'Just for One Day' the show about Live Aid; Hadestown which was wonderful; and 'Standing at the Sky's Edge' which if you're from Sheffield you may have heard of already but it's really good.) It was a good break but the only downer was I've been feeling a bit grotty for a couple of weeks now, as if I'm coming down with flu - muscle aches, running a fever now and then, stuffed up nose - so I finally went into a pharmacy and had a chat, where I was asked if I was on any meds and when I said that I'd been taking something for high BP the pharmacist told me that my symptoms were a common side effect of that drug. So I'm hoping to talk to my GP on Monday and see if I can try something else. I'm not poorly enough to take to my bed but it's just this everpresent feeling of being under the weather.

Anyway, enough of the poor old me's and today the sun is shining here so hope it is for all of you too xxx

Hi eveeyone.

it has been a bit of an ip and down week for me.Started to feel anger towards my OH for what we he had and what he is putting me through. Eventually plucked up the courage to talk to him amd let him know how I was feeling. Kept my anger under control, so no shouting! Felt awful after and didn't sleep well that night. However, the following day I actually felt lighter and was able to start reconnecting with him.

In other news, I am due to return to work on Monday and I am not looking forward to it.

Hugs to everyone x

Horsegirl x

I'm glad you were able to keep calm and have a good conversation with your OH rather than bottle it up inside you x he may well not have slept well but at the same time it probably did you both some good x

Getting back to work will bring some anxiety but will keep your mind focused on something else and you will have a bit of normality return for yourself xx

So some really good positive news!!!

My son after much encouragement from my husband and myself has started going back to park run and yesterday he came 15th overall which has really helped him feel a sense of accomplishment again.
