Can anybody tell me what kind of involvement social services has after investigations for IIOC comes to a close? The social worker involved in our children's lives (who are currently on CIN plans) is off this week and at the best of times she's difficult to get ahold of so I'm wondering if anyone can give me some kind of insight into what their involvement may be like now that the investigation has ended. For context my partner was given a caution (with no conditions) and 2 years on the SOR (no SHPO) for messaging with a guy about buying IIOC (he dipped out of the purchase before even taking any payment information). In the messages there was a collage of blurry images the guy had sent him as examples of the categories he could buy. Nothing further was found on his phone. SS have been aware of the messages since the beginning and put in safeguarding with the expectation that more would be found. He's been living at home with no unsupervised contact and no partaking in the kids personal care. The detective has told us the caution and SOR shouldn't impact our lives unless we want to go to certain countries in the next couple of years, so I'm guessing he expects SS to drop our case now? What should we expect to happen from here? The 6-weekly CIN meetings at the school, 4-weekly health visitor meetings for my toddler and random SS drop ins I'm hoping will be able to stop. I've done my parent protection assessment (which I scored well in) and we're just waiting on my partner's sexual harm risk assessment to be organised.

Hi,

Ss work on risk so even though the police investigation has ended in a caution ss will still have their assessments to do. Hopefully once they've done your OHs risk assessment they will step away but it's probably best to just update them with no expectations of them closing the case now.
My person was charged and sentenced so I don't have experience in this but from what I've read on here it's not always the case that in cautions or nfa that ss close their case xxx

Thank you for the response! Last Monday SS actioned his risk assessment so we're just waiting on them to give him his first session. It took them around 4-6 weeks from actioning my parent protection assessment until I did my first session so I'm imagining it'll be a similar wait for his assessment. Baby boy #3 is due at the end of April so I'm really hoping by then he's done his risk assessment and we'll have some kind of direction.
