My husband has had his first and final interview with the police and has been charged with the following

I am absolutely baffled by the distribution and making charge . This is what has happened .
basically my husband took a video of our son dancing around the house with no clothes on and sent it to me (only me) He has been charged making and distributing because of this . I can't believe this would stand up in court and his solicitor has said the same .
this is an absolute nightmare . I was expecting ting possession but not the other charges.
anyone with similar charges ? I'm just terrified of media coverage and for my kids in the future .
he is now waiting on CPS for a court date which he was advised will take 6 to 18 months

Obviously the video is on his phone and it was sent via watapp to myself . They can see this when they searched the phone

This is what worries me too. I've sent pics and videos to my husband of my youngest being silly in the bath. My husbands phone is still being examined but I now have a feeling this will crop up. I thought it was normal for families to do this. My parents have loads of pics like that of me and my sister when we were kids even us playing in the paddling pool in the garden so I honestly am baffled as to how any charges of this nature can happen. In my opinion every parent in the world should be charged with the same offence because I can guarantee everyone does it as its part of having those family memories xx

I honestly can't see that standing up in court. It's such a natural and common thing for loving families to do. It's funny memories between you, your husband and your children and in my opinion completely innocent xx

I completely understand that but if the context of the video is looked at and the conversations before and after between two parents surely anyone in their right mind can see it's innocent family conversation.

This is terrible. Obviously they try to throw as much mud as possible at your husband and hope something sticks
@Alwayshopeful: I have sent plenty pictures to my husband of the children sitting in the bath. You can never see their genitals, only their chest. Or pictures of the children running around in their nappies.
Can this be classed as indecent as well????

I've thought about this - I do not believe a picture of a little girl in a bathing suit or a little boy in swimming trunks would be classed as indecent.
I think it would have to be sexualised in some way, for instance zooming in on their bum or genital area.

that is so scary and something we wouldn't normally class as anything , does anyone ever think these social media influencers might get into trouble this way they share videos of their kids daily in baths etc etc and they ate saved by complete strangers , exploiting their own kids publicly, but you can't send pics to each other, I gets its because he was being investigated for iioc but surely when it goes to court they will realise it had only been shared to yourself because they will know that and that part might be wiped ...sorry your going through all that x

I feel so angry not for my own marriage ar all for what his actions are doing to our children . Their parent being stripped away from them . They aren't allowed contact at all now from these new charges have been made .

it's a reality none of us want to be in unfortunately still feels like a dream to me if I'm honest I reallt struggle with my family members situation if I'm honest having support is what u will need most of and I truly think this site offers that because of the people on here going through the same because until its your life or happening to you it's so difficult to explain and understand your emotions ...I send you and your kids virtual support xx
