Hi,

how long from being sent to CPS to charges?

im going out of my mind. Everything is coming to my nightmares again. Dreading the outcome, but so want this journey to end. My children so want their dad back. I know every case is different, but a rough idea may help!

My sons case took 6 weeks to hear back from CPS then we got a court date about 4 weeks later. Awful as this is the end is in sight for you now. You will get through this xx

Much the same timeline as Mandymoo here. Remember that whenever anything happens in the case, it's back to day one psychologically but then you will bounce back more quickly every time.

big big hugs to you

(my OH came home and was allowed unsupervised after sentencing)

Thank you ladies for your replies. I know it means the end is in sight, but it's terrifying isn't it.
Does this journey were all on just become the new normal or do you think at some point a glimpse of the pre knock us will ever return.

I have been wondering the same thing. My OH had his second interview on 17 January and was told it would be now sent to the CPS. We are still waiting to hear. My oh had a couple of dates when he was supposed to report to the police station, but when the dates got close he would receive a text pushing the date back. The latest date he was supposed to report to the police station was next Monday but he received another text today pushing the date back to 7 May as the CPS are waiting for further information from the investigating officer. He is still on the same bail conditions where he can't have unsupervised contact with our daughter even though she's nearly 16 and ss signed us off pretty quick and he also can't stay over.

I see each part of this journey as being a twist in the path that becomes a new temporary normal x

Ours took months. It went backwards and forwards from police to CPS on at least 2 occasions and each time took at least 2 months.
