I'm guessing that your son has only recently received his charges. The time between being issued with the charges and going to court for the plea hearing is so stressful, but we're here to support you through the next month.
I'm also here because of my son and know as a mum how heartbreaking this is to go through. Sadly I don't have much advice to give you on how to get through the weeks between charges and plea hearing and plea hearing and sentencing as I really only focused on getting through one day at a time and doing what I could to support my son. I tried to make sure that we spent as much time getting out of the house and doing things as we could. I also tried to focus on the practical things that I could actually do something about like helping him find a solicitor etc and I found it helpful to talk about the situation with close family and friends.
if you haven't already done so I recommend reaching out to your GP for support. Both my son and I were given medication for anxiety which along with meditation, breathing exercises and physical exercise did help us.
You might not think so now but you will get through this and you will eventually start to feel better.
