has anyone OH been snared by paedophile hunters for trying to meet underage girls?
yes mine we had the knock on April 3 25 they put it all over social media and lied about alot of things but then its too late because its out there , we are going to court tomorrow and its been a long hard road and i still dont know how i feel about things . These peole need to be held accountable and should be stopped doing what they are doing.

This wasn't my experience, but I can't bear seeing them when they occasionally pop up on my social media feeds. There are many complex reasons why the behaviour occurs and there is no thought given by these so called 'hunters' for the impact on the individuals family, friends, even the individuals own kids.
People need to be stopped before harm occurs to any child, but it's what we do with them after that, it's the assessment, therapy and rehabilitation that I feel really matters the most to keep our kids safe. However our society currently doesn't have the view that this particular type of offence is something you can rehabilitate from.
Public shaming and stripping someone down to nothing more than a societal pariah is 100% not the right way to keep anyone safe or prevent harm - the evidence clearly shows that the more you push people out of society and away from support networks, the higher the chance of reoffending. So what these so called hunters are doing is counterintuitive and dangerous beyond words.
The police don't take kindly to what hunters are doing, but I think the law should go further and charges be made on those who 'catch' and film/broadcast.
