First hearing

Evening, I'm freaking out a little. I thought my Oh was going to court tomorrow for a pled hearing but when I've just looked at magistrates for tomorrow he is down for a first hearing, what is the difference? Has anyone else person had this if so what does it mean?

I'm pretty sure a first hearing is a plea hearing. So at the first hearing they enter their plea of guilty or not guilty.
Hi, I'm sure they are both the same. Usually a meeting beforehand with barrister/solicitor, charges will be read out and a plea will be entered x
