It usually means that they have found something that they should like to ask about.

i get the impression that it's relatively normal to have one.

be sure that your person has legal representation with them for the interview.

it is helpful though because then you will find out exactly what you're dealing with (for my person it was the number and categories of images)

be consoled that this means the wait is nearly over

but I'm sorry that you're struggling, it is such a difficult time

Our son had a second interview about a non child-related offence from over 10 years ago which had been found on one of his devices. After a first interview when he was so shell shocked and was encouaged to come clean to get everything over with quickly (HA!!!), this time his solicitor advised a no comment interview. As we had already discovered that it doesn't mean you are trying to avoid being prosecuted and that it's your absolute right not to help the police in investigating you, that's what our son did. I think the only problem would be if later there's something you want used that would go in your favour but you've said 'no comment' about it in an interview. It's there in that spiel they have to say pre interview.

By the way, don't be deceived by any talk of an invitation to come in for a little chat as it will definitely be an interview. But it's voluntary and our son's solicitor was unavailable for about 2 weeks before she could attend. I was so worried that they'd think our son was avoiding coming in and would be rearrested and remanded to prison (I'm very much a catastrophiser!) but it was all routine so don't make attending tricky for time off work, family responsibilities etc.

Try not to worry (as if you won't!) and know that this new thing will pass into history one day.

Definitely make sure his got a solicitor with him. My hubby had duty when he was taken in and basically told him to tell them everything which he did and it was all used in court. The second interview he had paid for a proper solicitor and he said no comment the whole way through and by the looks of it it was because they hadn't got much other than what he had admitted to previously and they was trying to get extra to charge more against him

Just want an end to it

2nd interveiw is usually as they have evidence and have to put it to you so that you have a chance to comment. My person went with his solicitor and a prepared statement.
