My deceased dad

Does anyone have any advice on this please?
my dad committed an offence and got a suspended sentence because he had terminal cancer.
my brothers wife had their first child on the way and they had to have social service's involvement. We cut off any contact with my dad when he got arrested. He met this child and only once with supervision.
my dad died in 2017 and we haven't really thought about the sentence too much since. Today my sister in law applied for a job in a preschool and had to tick that she had had previous involvement with social services and then an interview with ofsted.
I feel so sorry for her that she is being affected by our dad's terrible decisions. Is there anything we can do to get this removed now that he has died?
thanks for any guidance

Would the conviction have been spent now, how long was conviction if he passed away 7 years ago, I know if spent you don't have to disclose it, unlock website give really clear advice
Hi,
the conviction being spent isn't the issue when they're asking about social service involvement unfortunately. It shouldn't impact your sister in law working in a preschool but I'm not sure if there is any way of avoiding the question in the future xxx
