Hi everyone
I just wondered if anyone on here has had a long wait for the investigation to finish?
We had the knock in June 2018 (15 months ago) and my partner was released under investigation, with no conditions, they took all our devices, my son’s iPad,my iPad, our camera, home computer, old mobile phones. My partner was arrested in a town a long way from where we live, but our local police force have got the devices to check so we have 2 police forces involved.
I have not hear of any one else waiting so long as we have?
We have a solicitor who tells us to not contact the police, he will do it for us, which he has been doing.
i am just getting fed up of living like this, I feel like it will never end!
Thanks for reading, am feeling very sorry for myself!

Wow Mabel.
What a hidiously long wait. So difficult for you.
Sadly only at start of this journey. Knock was July 19 so can't help sadly. I hope you get closure soon. X

Hi Mabel
Our knock was too recent for us to be able to help you sorry. I have heard that it varies between forces, but 15 months seems excruciating. Its good that a solicitor is helping you - the ones I've rung have just said to call back if he is arrested. I was hoping someone with some legal brains would be able to shed light on it for us and I was willing to pay to hear their advice, but we drew a blank. So the limbo continues. What updates have the police given your solicitor?
Sending hugs xx

Hi ladies
thanks for your replies, yes I have told my partner to speak to his solicitor, who is apparently off on paternity leave, but back this week, to get an update.
Im sorry you have both joined this horrendous club????
i have found that this forum has made such a big difference to me, just communicating with people in a similar position.
sending you best wishes

We were told the average case was 12 months. Ours lasted 6. We were fortunate that way.
Hi my situation has had a very quick outcome. Arrested in may and sentencing next month. He did plea guilty and admit everything straight away though. It seems to me that thos helps obviously speed the process up but also depends on what area you are from. Xx
