Good morning everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of ss supporting a mental health assessment for their person as part of family support? I'd be particularly interested in experiences where ss involvement is for the children rather than the offending person. Is there any way of gaining support through early help/right help right time?
Currently weighing up which would be the best use of any future savings; an independent risk assessment or a private mental health assessment as we don't seem to be getting anywhere with the NHS. I'm leaning towards the private mental health assessment as I feel this would benefit us as a whole family more than knowing what risk level he poses as I can mitigate that by my knowledge but I can't do much to help his mental health especially without an accurate diagnosis. All advice welcome. Thanks in advance xxx
